· Feb. 4: Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin meet at Yalta. The last meeting of the Big Three.
· Aug. 6: First atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima, Japan. Used the bombs because it will end the war faster.
· Aug. 9: Second atomic bomb dropped on Nagasaki, Japan. That helped end the war as they were both the first of atomic bombs to be dropped, and the casualties were way beyond what the U.S. thought they’d be.
· Aug. 14: Japan agrees to unconditional surrender
· Sept. 2: Japan signs the surrender agreement. V-J Day. End of WW2.
